Tampa International Airport and its tenant partners are preparing to build up staffing for the busy holiday travel season with a new Airport-wide Hiring Day event on Sept. 25.
Some two dozen employers, including Southwest Airlines, the Transportation Security Administration and Federal Express will be among the retail shops, restaurants, ground handling services and other businesses at TPA accepting applications. These employers combined are looking to fill more than 320 open positions.
The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, which operates TPA and Hillsborough County's three General Aviation airports, also will be looking to fill several positions for highly technical Maintenance personnel like Equipment Mechanic and Electronics Technician. HCAA job openings may be viewed here.
Some companies will conduct on-site interviews and applicants may be hired on the spot, so job seekers should bring two forms of identification.
TPA’s Airport-wide Hiring Day will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the Main Terminal Event Space between the shuttle stations for Airsides E and F.
No RSVP is required to attend the event. Free parking will be available in the Economy Parking Garage and participants can take the SkyConnect train to the Main Terminal for the event.
