Delta Air Lines Expanding Cancun Service

Airline adding weekly flights between Cancun, Mexico, and four U.S. cities

ATLANTA, Aug. 20, 2010 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today announced new seasonal service between Cancun, Mexico, and four U.S. cities: San Antonio and Austin, Texas; Columbus, Ohio; and Tampa, Fla.; effective Feb. 19, 2011*. 

The service will operate on Saturdays, using 142-seat MD-88 aircraft, equipped with 14 seats in First Class and 128 in Economy. 

The new service in Cancun comes as Delta continues to expand its presence in Latin America, with plans for new flights between its hub at Minneapolis-St. Paul and Mexico City as well as new service between its Detroit hub and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Tickets for the new Cancun flights will be available for sale Saturday, August 21, at delta.com and other ticketing channels.
