It’s Valentine’s Day and love is in the air at TPA. With fresh faces from around the world, airports can be amazing places to meet someone new and bond over a shared love of travel, aviation, or even a passion for frequent flyer miles.
Maybe you’ve already found the love of your life. The airport can also be a place to create special moments together while imagining the endless possibilities of places you might travel together.
From romantic views to fun spots to grab a drink and socialize, Tampa International Airport has you covered.
1) Parking garage views: What could be more romantic than driving up to the very top of one of our parking garages for an evening spent watching the sunset with your sweetheart? Bring along some food and enjoy sweeping views of Tampa Bay. Or, if you have a pickup truck, pack some comfy chairs and use the bed of your truck to sit back, relax and watch planes land and depart. If you’re an aviation geek, wow your special someone with your knowledge of all the passing planes.
2) Food and brews: If rock and roll is more your style, grab a bite to eat with your significant other at our Hard Rock Café, located in the Main Terminal. The Hard Rock Café has an outdoor seating area that is both intimate and expansive, providing views of the runway. Enjoy some fresh air and take in the sights and sounds of the Airport from this perch.
3) Peace and quiet: Just below the Hard Rock Café Patio, on Level 2 ticketing, is a courtyard often overlooked at TPA. Complete with a bubbling fountain and comfortable benches, this courtyard is the perfect spot to grab a seat and discuss all the things you have in common with each other. Grab a snack or a coffee from one of our many restaurants and enjoy some quiet time together.
4) Views and snooze: If a quiet night in is more your speed, look no further than the Airport Marriott Hotel. Treat yourself to views of the runway from your room and relax at their amazing outdoor pool. Before calling it quits for the day, enjoy their indoor lounge or settle in for your favorite movie with room service for a special time together.
5) Main Terminal shuttle exits: What could be more romantic than being reunited with your long-lost loved one? Our TPA shuttle stations are the perfect spots to capture a kiss from your honey returning from afar. Don't forget to bring some flowers or a small gift to make your reunion even more memorable.
