Frontier launches new service to TPA
(October 5, 2017) Frontier Airlines this week launches six of the 12 nonstop destinations the airline is bringing to Tampa International this year, including nonstop service to Colorado Springs – a new destination for TPA.
Frontier will celebrate the new service with fares as low as $29 at flyfrontier.com.
In addition to Colorado Springs, the new cities from Tampa include the following: Buffalo, Columbus, Indianapolis, Islip, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Nashville, Providence and St. Louis. In addition, the carrier will reinstate seasonal service to Chicago-O’Hare. Frontier will operate these new routes with Airbus A320 family aircraft.
The new service comes amid a larger nationwide expansion that includes 85 new routes to 21 new cities. With the addition of these new flights, Frontier will serve 18 destinations from TPA.
"We’re offering not only amazing low fares, but a reliable and friendly service that allows customers to customize their travel experience to their needs and their budget,” said Josh Flyr, vice president network planning – Frontier Airlines. “This empowers more people than ever before to fly. This is what our Low Fares Done Right philosophy is all about.”
Frontier operates out of TPA Airside C along with Southwest Airlines and the new flights are expected to add to TPA’s growing passenger volume as the airport concludes the first phase of its Master Plan expansion and concessions redevelopment.
"We are pleased to launch nonstop flights to Colorado Springs - a new destination for Tampa International Airport - and beyond excited to welcome these additional routes by the end of the year," said Airport CEO Joe Lopano. "The growth of Frontier's service at TPA helps connect our community to key cities around the U.S. and bring in more visitors to the Tampa Bay area."
