Literary group gets creative with TPA All Access program
While TPA’s All Access program was designed to allow guests to visit TPA’s airside restaurants and shops without a boarding pass, a local literary arts group saw another opportunity: To tour some of TPA’s artwork, write about it and use the Airport as a unique backdrop for creative conversation.
Wordier Than Thou, a Tampa Bay-based social network that hosts open mic and writing events, visited TPA this past Saturday, beginning the writing journey at Airside F’s Cigar City Taproom and viewing Esterio Segura’s Good Bye My Love Tampa Seven Days a Week and Daniel Canogar’s Tendril. The writers than moved on to the Main Terminal and rode the SkyConnect train, stopping to see various works of art along the way and at the Rental Car Center.
“It was a fun day of art and words and people watching and airport beer,” Wordier Than Thou founder Tiffany Razzano wrote on the group’s Facebook page. “Many thanks to TPA's helpful and welcoming team who met us before we got started and gave each writer a moleskin notebook.”
The All Access program is now available for up to 100 people daily, seven days a week. To sign up, go to: www.tampaairport.com/tpaallaccess.
