Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to Celebrate Completion of Air Cargo Road

WHO: The City of Tampa and the Tampa International Airport are ready to open the new Air Cargo Road to public access. The new tree lined, four-lane divided road will serve as the primary north-south access for the Airport’s east side development area. The 1.4 mile Cargo Road extension connects Ohio Avenue to Hillsborough Avenue.
WHAT: To celebrate the accomplishment of the $21 million Airport project, there will be a brief dedication and ribbon cutting. The gateway road is fully landscaped and constructed with three retention ponds and five dry ponds which are part of the extensive storm system.
WHERE: Look for the Kimmins tent on the Air Cargo Road. From Dale Mabry – turn West on MLK Blvd, North (right) on N. Hesperides Street (runs parallel to Air Cargo Road) then West (left) on Crest Avenue. From Hillsborough Avenue – Turn South on Air Cargo Road, then East (left) on Crest Avenue – look for designated parking signs.
