Shells & Spurs brings a Nashville flair to TPA's Airside C
The new shop at Tampa International Airport offers custom-made hats, Tampa-themed gifts, and plenty of fun souvenirs for travelers of all ages.
Tampa International Airport's newest store is ready to put a little twang in your Florida trip, with Shells & Spurs now open in Airside C.
The shop – offering a mix of customizable hats, souvenirs, and gifts – sits between Spanx and the News Channel 8 store, near where passengers exit the TSA security screening checkpoint.
The star of Shells & Spurs is its hat bar. Travelers pick from one of several cowboy hats, choose two fun bands and add finishing touches. Within a few minutes, they'll be on their way with a customized souvenir to keep or a gift they can give to someone else.
It's the second business in an airport for owner Amy Billings, who first opened a store at Nashville International Airport (BNA) in 2023.
A Tennessee native, Billings grew up around the music business, and her husband is a longtime bass player for The Monkees. After trying their luck in the world of retail and opening a store at BNA, they fell in love with the airport environment.
"My goal is for everyone to leave this store happier than when they came in," Billings said.
This location, operated by Paradies Lagardère, also stocks Tampa and Florida-themed souvenirs, along with a large selection of children's items such as flamingo hoodies and tutus. Billings works to stock her store with products from women-owned and family-owned businesses.
"We're excited to welcome Shells & Spurs to America's Favorite Airport," TPA Director of Concessions Stacey Nance said. "Amy's shop brings a fun, one-of-a-kind experience that our travelers are going to love."
Shells & Spurs is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
