Sun ’n Fun event features a week of aviation excitement
Air shows, learning opportunities, and a TPA-sponsored Innovation Showcase are some of the attractions for the event’s 50th anniversary.
Tampa International Airport is prepared to help one of the nation’s largest aviation events celebrate its 50th anniversary.
The Sun ’n Fun Aerospace Expo, a week of aviation-related events that includes airshows, aircraft displays, learning opportunities, family entertainment, and more is running April 9-14 at Lakeland International Airport. The weeklong event began in 1975.
Highlights include piloting tips, aviation vendors, paragliders and hot air balloons, vintage aircraft, a weeklong roster of flight demonstrations including the USN F-18 Super Hornet team and the USAF Thunderbirds, and an opening night concert by country performers Dylan Scott with Sara Evans.
