Tampa International Airport announces launch of online Business Diversity Management System

Partnering with Tampa International Airport as a woman- or minority-owned business just got easier with the launch of a new online Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)/Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business (ACDBE) certification application system.

The new Business Diversity Management System (BDMS) is designed to simplify, clarify, standardize, and streamline TPA’s current process through an automated and secured online system.

“This eliminates the need for paper applications and manual entry of company information, and will be a huge benefit to our business partners going forward,” said Bonnie Yauilla, TPA Business Diversity Specialist. “The BDMS will allow us to process information more quickly and will be more efficient and convenient for all users.”

Among some of the BDMS features:

  • Enhanced online DBE/ACDBE directory with keyword search capabilities
  • DBE/ACDBE certification management
  • Electronic submission of DBE/ACDBE applications and annual No Change Declarations

All existing and prospective businesses should submit and complete all DBE/ACDBE documentation through the new electronic system. During the system roll-out, users will be required to create a unique username and password in the system in order to verify and update contact information, which will include email addresses for their businesses. This update will ensure that TPA can communicate within a timely manner regarding DBE/ACDBE certifications.

TPA’s award-winning Business Diversity Department continues to hold regular outreach sessions to connect businesses serving the 28th largest airport in the U.S. Last year, the Airport spent $14.2 million in goods and services with firms certified as DBEs and ACDBE firms generated $37.3 million in gross receipts from concessions operations.
