Tampa International Airport opens two new concessions

December 13, 2016

Tampa International Airport this morning welcomed the airport’s first-ever Starbucks Evenings Reserve as well as the first TUMI/Swarovski as part of TPA’s comprehensive concessions redevelopment program.

The Starbucks Evenings sells beer, wine and tapas in addition to the usual offerings, while the TUMI/Swarovski specializes in high-end travel accessories and high-quality crystal jewelry, watches and decorations.

With these new additions, the Airport has now opened 23 of the 69 shops and restaurants coming to the Airport.

“The Starbucks and TUMI/Swarovski are great additions and bring a fantastic range of new options for our passengers,” said Airport CEO Joe Lopano. “These concepts are prefect for anyone looking to upgrade their luggage, buy a gift for a loved one or simply sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee.”

The Starbucks Evenings, located in the Main Terminal, is a brand new concept for the Airport and will operate 24/7 so guests can enjoy it no matter how early or late they’re at the Airport. TPA is one of only a handful of airports in the country that has a Starbucks Evenings Reserve, and the opening builds on TPA’s long relationship with the company. In 1994, Starbucks opened its first licensed coffee shop in the Tampa Bay region in Tampa International Airport’s Airside A.

“Starbucks Evenings creates a comfortable, yet casual ambiance for travelers to relax and enjoy savory and healthy small plates while enjoying a craft beer or signature Starbucks beverage,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Michael Price. “HMSHost, along with our partner Tinsley-Bridgeman, is very excited to bring this experience to travelers in Tampa International Airport’s Main Terminal, and we thank the airport for their partnership on this endeavor.”

The TUMI/Swarovski is located at Airside F, and brings an upscale boutique-vibe to the international terminal. Swarovski is returning to the airport after operating four years in the Main Terminal, selling high-quality crystal jewelry, decorations and gifts. TUMI is new to the Airport and offers upscale luggage, locks, hand scales and other travel accessories.

"Stellar is delighted to bring to TPA the first co-branded TUMI / Swarovski boutique," said Stellar CEO Susan Stackhouse.  "Both Swarovski and TUMI are wonderful global brands that are perfectly suited for the international passengers that depart from Airside F."
