TPA celebrates restaurant and retail superstars with awards breakfast

Kimberly Holden remembers names, orders and even shares inside jokes with her regular guests at the Tampa International Airport Wendy's. A shining star in the Main Terminal food court, she takes pride in providing excellent service to passengers during every shift.

Kim was one of about two dozen rockstar employees recognized at TPA's first "I Am TPA" awards breakfast on October 30.

The event celebrated and rewarded employees who have been recognized by their supervisors or management for outstanding customer service and is part of a new recognition program launched in September. The goal is to encourage employees who go above-and-beyond with a little well-deserved recognition.

The Airport team honored the attendees with a breakfast spread, certificate and lapel pin, handing out more than 30 gift cards and prizes. The team plans to host a similar event each month to recognize the rockstar employees, and will celebrate repeat-winners with an annual event.
