TPA finance team helps bring holiday cheer to thousands
The Projects and Grants team in TPA’s Finance Department was looking for a new way to connect – and to give back to the community.
They found both this year, and helped out countless families in need, by volunteering on recently at Metropolitan Ministries’ Tampa Holiday Tent, which annually provides food and toys to roughly 40,000 families every year.
The team of volunteers this year included (left to right, top to bottom) Margaret Albanese-Dow, Kathie Taube, Kelly Abreu, Patty Gardner, Kevin Jason and Nick Desiano. Together, they helped decorate the tent and bring some normalcy and holiday cheer for those most in need.
“It was just a way for us to get together and do something for the community,” said Kathie Taube, Project and Grants Finance Manager.
This was the team’s first year volunteering at the event, but they expect to continue on finding new ways of giving back in the future.
