TPA lands direct flights to 'Top City in the U.S.'

Charleston, S.C. has been voted the #1 city in the U.S. for 10 years in a row by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler's Reader's Choice Award.

Now, Tampa International Airport has a nonstop flight right into the heart of the action. 

Silver Airways on Oct. 13 announced new nonstop service to Charleston scheduled to begin on Nov. 23. To celebrate the new nonstop service, Silver is offering fares starting at $49 for travel through Dec.16, 2020 for travelers who book before Oct. 21. 

The city was not only named the top by Conde Nast Traveler for the past decade, but was also given the same honor on Travel+Leisure magazine's list for the past eight years. Charleston can also be spotted among other lists, including the top 10 best places to visit in November and America's top getaways. In 2016, it took home arguably its biggest prize of all when it earned the distinction of top city in the world by Travel+Leisure.

The charm

From buildings standing longer than our great, great, great grandparents to that good old southern hospitality, Charleston lacks little when it comes to culture and charm. Once you land, you'll find canons and mortars still standing from the Civil War and beautiful 1800's architecture that has kept its stature for centuries. Visit Fort Sumter National Monument while you're there, or thump along the cobblestone on horse and carriage for a true old-school perspective of the stunning city.
