TPA looks to fill more than 1,500 positions in Airport-wide Hiring Day
Tampa International Airport and its tenant partners are looking to fill more than 1,500 openings in one of the Airport's largest and broadest hiring days yet, to be held at TPA on Feb. 15.
More than 20 companies will interview candidates, some of which will offer jobs on the spot to help TPA meet growing demand as up to 80,000 daily passengers are expected to return to the skies in the coming months during the spring break period – the Airport’s busiest time of the year.
Airport employers will be filling a wide variety of year-round jobs that include full and part-time positions with airlines, shops, restaurants, rental car companies, ground handling services and more. Frontier Airlines alone is looking to hire 1,000 flight attendants for crew bases around the U.S.
The hiring day will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at TPA's Event Space (between Airsides E and F) on Level 3 of the Main Terminal. In-person attendance is required and parking will be validated. Hiring managers suggest bringing multiple copies of your resume along with your ID.
Available positions feature a range of skills and management levels. The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, which operates and manages TPA, is also looking to fill more than 20 positions, most of which are maintenance roles.
At the last airport-wide hiring event, TPA business partners made nearly 300 job offers in early November.
During 2021, the Airport served 18,115,213 passengers while it expects to serve 20.6 million passengers in Fiscal Year 2022 which runs from Oct. 1, 2021 – Sept. 30, 2022. That number is only 7 percent below pre-COVID traffic numbers.
