TPA readies to launch three new nonstop routes this summer

The weather is warming, spring has fully sprung and summer is inching closer by the minute, so it’s probably a good time to start thinking about that summer vacay. Need some ideas? Here are some new nonstop routes launching just in time from TPA:

San Francisco – Resumes June 3 on United Airlines

Looking to get away from the Florida humidity during the hottest months of the year? Us too. San Francisco has pretty close to perfect year-round weather with temps dipping into the 50’s and 60’s in months where the heat is brutal in other places around the U.S. There’s a ton to keep you busy in this California city from parks like Alamo Square, Dolores or Golden Gate Park or go sightseeing with the sea lions at Pier 39. Before you go, read up on how you can most safely visit the city here. Get there nonstop on United Airlines, resuming June 3.

Salt Lake City – Launching June 12 on Southwest Airlines

The snow may have melted by June and July, but summer in Salt Lake City still offers plenty to do like visiting famous natural parks and gardens, beer-tasting at breweries or sightseeing around beautiful churches as the city is known as a religious center. Average temps in this city range from high 60’s to 80’s during summer months and most locals can be found biking one of the many curated bike trails in and around the city. So be it hike or bike, book your nonstop flight to SLC, Utah on Delta or Southwest Airlines.

Kansas City – Launching June 9 on Spirit Airlines

Known for its BBQ and beef, this Central U.S. city has more to offer besides its sports teams. The city has more barbecue restaurants per capita than any other U.S. city and lots of museums to complement that rack of ribs. Stop by one of the many museums in and around the city including the National WWI Museum and Memorial or the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Get there with in under 3 hours nonstop on Southwest or Spirit Airlines launching June 9.

Sure, Tampa Bay is a beautiful vacation destination no matter the season, but these three cities make for a great getaway especially with new nonstop routes launching this summer.
