TPA teams up with United Airlines to rise against hunger

Tampa International Airport and United Airlines teamed up with Rise Against Hunger, a charity that envisions a world without hunger, in an effort to package more than 10,000 food items for families in need across the world. On Tuesday, August 27, 35 volunteers from Tampa International Airport along with United employees measured and sealed rice, dried vegetables, soy and vitamins to be distributed to schools worldwide.

In June, the airline sealed its millionth meal for Rise Against Hunger, contributing to the nearly 500 million meals the charity has packaged since its inception.
