TPA to host its first-ever evening hiring event to fill hospitality jobs

Tampa International Airport is planning another hiring event, this time with a fun twist to attract potential restaurant, bar, coffee shop and retail employees.

On Tuesday, June 21, the Airport will host a happy hour-style Hospitality Hiring Night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the Hard Rock Cafe patio on Level 3 of the Main Terminal. Guests will enjoy non-alcoholic “mocktails,” food, music, networking and on-the-spot hiring by companiesGasparilla Bar - Bloody Mary looking to fill more than 200 open positions for various shifts across the Airport campus. The jobs include cooks, cashiers, sales associates and utility positions such as stockers, and previous experience is not required.

“We wanted to do something fun and lively that also hit that evening-hour crowd in attracting prospective employees,” TPA Senior Manager of Concessions Nina Mahoney said. “We’re encouraging our current employees to spread the word, bring a friend and help us recruit in a more relaxing environment than your typical job fair.”

Registration is not required to attend, and convenient parking in the Short Term Garage will be validated for Hospitality Hiring Night guests.
