TPA to host job fair for new concessions

January 19, 2016

Have you always wanted to work at Tampa International Airport? Don’t miss the job fair Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Board Room.

Airport concessionaires are looking to fill 125 positions for shops and restaurants scheduled to open this spring. More hiring opportunities will arise as additional concessions open.

Participants in this month’s job fair include the companies representing Auntie Anne’s, Bay Coffee & Tea, CNBC, Ducky’s, NewsLink and RumFish Grill. They are looking to fill hourly and management positions for the first wave of concessions opening in 2016.

The openings come as part of the airport’s comprehensive concessions overhaul that will bring 65 new shops and restaurants to TPA with an exciting new mix of flavors, designs and business owners.

More than 40 percent of the food and beverage concepts will be dedicated to local brands, including such favorites as Ulele, Four Green Fields and Buddy Brew Coffee. Participation in the Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) increased from three companies to 15.

About 30 new concessions will open this year. For more information on concessions opportunities at Tampa International, please visit us online at TampaAirport.com/employment-opportunities
