TRAVELER ADVISORY: TPA's Blue Express areas to close for TPA police exercise

Passengers arriving or departing TPA late at night on Saturday, Oct. 22, may notice some unusual activity at the Blue Express areas of the Airport.

This weekend, between the hours of 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday, our Tampa International Airport Police Department and participating partners will be conducting a simulated active threat response exercise. During this time, the Blue Express arrivals and departures curbs will be closed to the public and all guests and drivers must use the regular Blue arrivals and departures lanes for drop-offs and pick-ups. TPA will reopen the Blue Express lanes to traffic once the exercise concludes.

Flight operations will not be impacted by the exercise.
