SkyCenter One garage tops out - and other construction updates

The construction world is continuing at a rapid pace - and that includes many Airport projects.

Last week, SkyCenter One hit another major project milestone: The building’s six-story parking garage is now fully topped out.

In just over eight weeks, crews working with the contractor J.E. Dunn placed a total of 776 pieces of precast concrete to form the building’s structure. Up next, workers will place the concrete for the ground level section.

Work on the SkyCenter One building is also flying along. Crews are busy building the building’s two elevator and stair cores and have already finished eight of the nine levels. The cores are expected to be topped out later this month.

With these structures approaching completion, steelworkers will now step onto the scene and begin assembling the building’s steel structure.
