Nine things you didn't know you could get at TPA

TPA has changed the game of airport shops and restaurants, bringing fashion, local food favorites and even beer brewed on-site. Did know you could get merchandise from your favorite team or a cocktail that ONLY TPA has? Check out the nine things you didn't know existed at TPA.

1. Local sweets (pastries and chocolates)

Got a sweet tooth? Satisfy it at TPA! Tampa Bay is full of local brands - from Toffee To Go for decadent, rich toffee bits to Casis’ sweet, flaky pastries. Check out The Shoppes at Bayshore in the Main Terminal, illy Caffe on airsides E and F and the newsstands at the Airport to snag a sweet treat.

2. Luggage

Need a new briefcase for that business trip? Or just looking to spoil yourself with some new (and great quality) travel gear? Stop by Tumi at Airside F before you fly to refresh your luggage.

3. The Body Shop

Addicted to those creamy lotions and balms at The Body Shop? You won’t find another within nearly 80 miles of Tampa, so make The Body Shop on Airside C a stop along your journey.

4. Sports attire

Bucs, Rays, Lightning or college sports fan? We are Champa Bay, so it’s only right that we have a sports essentials super store called Tampa Bay Sports smack dab in the Main Terminal for our visitors to enjoy.

5. Local restaurants

Food-lovers, rejoice! In recent years, the foodie scene in Tampa Bay has exploded, bringing new and renowned restaurants to the area. Tampa International Airport is no exception. Nearly 40 percent of TPA’s restaurants are local, including Ducky's, Bay Coffee & Tea, Cigar City Brewing, Burger 21, RumFish Grill, PDQ, Ulele, Goody Goody, Cafe Con Leche, Bavaro's, Square 1, Columbia Cafe, Four Green Fields and The Cafe by Mise en Place (which are now open daily.) Wanting to try a local beverage? Get some hops brewed on-site at Cigar City Brewing on Airside F.

6. Jewelry and serious fashion

An airport, but add some fashion. TPA is home to trendy attire like Tommy Bahama and Ron Jon and chic accessories from designer sunglasses to watches and more. The Shoppes at Bayshore (Main Terminal) has all you’ll need to style-up and show-out for your vacation. Looking for some bling? Swarovski at airside F will keep you shining even when you leave the sunshine state.

7. An Airport signature cocktail

An Airport Signature Cocktail – we did that! Just two short years ago, Tampa International Airport brought together local drink masters to craft a cocktail, only available at TPA. Orange, guava and Rum bring the Spirit of Flight to life with a sprig of mint and slice of orange to top it off.

8. Spanx and athleisure

Tights, capris, undergarments and more - get your shapewear pre-flight at Airside C from Tampa Bay native Sarah Blakely's widely-known Spanx store. Looking for something comfy for the flight? We’ve got Nike, Puma, Under Armour and more at The Runway in the Main Terminal.

9. Electronics

Forgot your headphones? Don't fret! TPA carries electronic products from brands like Bose, Sony, Beats and Monster in stores across the Airport. Visit Tech on the Go in the Main Terminal at airsides F or C, InMotion at Airside A or InTune airside E.

During the pandemic, TPA saw a large decrease in passengers, causing the Airport to close many shops and restaurants. Today, nearly 90 percent of TPA's shops and restaurants have reopened and are ready to serve passengers and guests.
